Cast your minds back to a cold November evening, the Haddenham Villagers out in force and a spectacular firework display in memory of David Fairchild.
Billed as the last firework display, a small group of Haddenham residents were disappointed that it would be the last one and decided to get together to see if something could be done to carry on the tradition of the Village bonfire and firework night.
So risen from the ashes is the new Haddenham Bonfire Committee. They will be continuing the previous great work of the outgoing committee.
Many thanks to all those on the outgoing committee, and all those who have previously helped in any capacity, for your years of excellent work in putting on such fantastic displays.
It costs around £3500 to stage such a brilliant spectacle, so watch out for fundraising events over the coming months. If anyone is interested in helping with fundraising please get in touch at
hadboncom@aol.com. If any local businesses are interested in sponsoring us, no matter how big or small a donation, again please get in touch. Previous income generators such as the Blossoms and Bygones barbecue are no longer happening so we would appreciate any donations.
